Purpose

Meet Jamali

My name is Jamali, founder of First Nations Community Support. I am a proud Wailwan man from Coonamble who grew up in Western Sydney.

I’ve worked extensively with young people across schools, out of home care, youth justice settings, and the wider community supporting those who have experienced trauma, domestic violence, and disconnection.

Through my work delivering workshops, one on one mentoring, and community programs, I focus on building trust, connection and real outcomes for young people who often feel misunderstood or overlooked.

My approach is grounded in lived experience, cultural understanding, and showing up consistently to create spaces where young people feel heard, supported and empowered to make positive changes in their lives.

Purpose

Why I Do This Work

This isn’t just a career, it’s my purpose.

I’ve seen how easily young people can be misunderstood, labelled, or overlooked when they don’t have the right support around them. I know what it feels like to be in that position.

That’s why I’ve committed my life to doing things differently to create spaces where young people feel safe, respected, and heard. Spaces where they can be themselves without judgement and start to see their worth.

First Nations Community Support is about more than just programs it’s about impact.

The vision is to create strong, culturally grounded support systems that empower young people and families, strengthen communities, and provide real pathways forward. Every young person deserves the opportunity to feel supported, valued, and capable of building a future they’re proud of.
